Everything is moving along nicely for the renovation of Plantation Palms. New greens are starting to take shape and the clubhouse and Mulligan’s On The Green, our new restaurant, is starting to look great and is planning to open October 15th.

Actually we had a visitor to the course. He asked if he could take a swim and we told him “the pond would be good for you.” But I think he just wanted to look around at how the course was coming along. I think he was impressed.
The greens renovation project is right on schedule and the sprigs have already started growing in. This is great news as it will be a key factor for the timeliness of the golf course opening. The fairways and tee boxes are also now cut and we will continue preparation of the bunkers. We anticipate the course to be open mid-November.
The club house was power washed this week and next week painting will begin. A complete coat of paint will make the club house look brand new.
With all the rain from the tropical storm, we learned that the driving range drainage system is not working properly. We have embarked on a $30,000 project to install new drainage and to level areas so that water will flow properly. You will see a bulldozer running around for the next couple weeks followed by a complete re-grassing (sprigs) of the golf range.
The next few weeks will be very busy for us as course renovation, clubhouse updates, miniature golf, and the driving range come together. We ask that visitors to the course hold off for a bit longer unless applying for a job or joining us at the planting party.
